On Thursday, June 24, 2004,
Mr. C.H. Jackson was recognized by the Louisiana Association of Child
Welfare and Attendance Personnel (LACWAP) as the Outstanding Person of the
Year. Mr. Jackson was presented the 2004 Wilfred Broussard Award, the
highest award given by the Louisiana Association of Child Welfare and
Attendance Personnel, for his outstanding service to the Louisiana
Association of Child Welfare & Attendance Personnel and children of
Louisiana. The Wilfred Broussard Outstanding Person of the Year award is a
very prestigious award and gives recognition to Louisiana Supervisors of
Child Welfare and Attendance who have shown outstanding service in the
performance of their job as a Supervisor of Child Welfare and Attendance,
and recognizes their outstanding service to the Louisiana Association of
Child Welfare and Attendance Personnel.
The International
Association for Truancy and Dropout Prevention (IATDP) recognizes the
importance of Child Welfare and Attendance Supervisors in the prevention of
truancy and school dropouts; and therefore, wishes to recognize Mr. C.H.
Jackson for his outstanding service in the state of Louisiana. Mr. Jackson
has been a good role model during his years as Child Welfare and Attendance
Supervisor. We recognize Mr. Jackson’s service to the state of Louisiana
and wish to congratulate him for receiving the 2004 Wilfred Broussard
Outstanding Person of the Year.
