Dedication of Office to Mrs. Ruby W. Smith

On May 4th, 2022, it was a time of celebration as we honored one of our very own. We dedicated the Office of Child Welfare and Attendance after Mrs. Ruby W. Smith.

Mrs. Smith's educational career spans 56 years, working for and with several superintendents, assistant superintendents, board members, principals, assistant principals, and multiple directors of different departments.

She believed that every student can learn if you teach them, and it's that mindset that has helped this amazing school district become what it is today.

Thank you Mrs. Smith for everything that you have done for Rapides Parish, along with the impact that you have made throughout the years.
